Boutique Hotel

LE PALAZZO

Essaouira

This Boutique Hotel, ideally located between the port, the beaches, the medina, and facing the clock, which marks the hours in a not always orthodox manner, is a place rich in history.

This former 19th-century patrician residence, once used as a storage house by the Sultan of the city who traded with the world from the port of Essaouira, was transformed into a charming hotel in the middle of the last century under the name Palazzo Desdemona, a tribute to Orson Welles and his film "Othello," which was filmed in Essaouira..

Today, it has been given a new lease on life to make it more comfortable and to provide it with a new visual identity by combining the authenticity of the place with a more contemporary Moroccan craftsmanship.
